I'm having similar problems on being good on one meal but slipping on the next. for instance this morning, usually i have a bowl of shredded wheat or cheerios but today i had a sausage egg and cheese biscuit. I know that i shouldn't eat after 8 at night but i have to work at least 2 nights until 10pm. But damnit I'm gonna make it if its the last thing I do!

I work till 11, so I am usually tempted to eat something when I go home, but usually I have a glass of milk and that fixes the problem. I'm usualy pretty good with eating sweets I can make things last by portioning it out. I think I would go insane if I couldn't have sweets, so I save myself the anguish and have a little now and then.

Yea I think the main thing with the food is just controlling how much you eat. You can eat anything you want as long as you don't over do it. One of the best things you can do is find something semi-physical that also distracts you. Like maybe starting a garden of some sort, to keep it looking good you will spend a lot of time working with it which can relieve boredom (when you are most likely to junk out on food) and is also semi-physical. Thats just an idea, theres a lot of other things you could do to help out in that regard.

I'd like to take a dancing class, but Jager doesn't seem too keen. I could go by myself and make some friends, but it would be a nice activity together (shrug). In general: The trick taking my binge foods to work, I've successfully cut back. That makes it easier to focus more on portion control all around without junk food int he mix too. Also I've always tried to drink plenty of water - my new job makes it a alot easier. So instead of like before where I almost get sent to the hospital for dehydration since I couldn't eat or drink, I'm now eating more balancced during the day and up to about a litre, litre and a half of water a day. Good progress so far, IMHO.

Or you could do like me. Go out and do something evil then let your conscience do the rest. Yea that guilty conscience will take the weight off in no time. You see all those comercials saying you gain weight because you are stressed out? I say they are full of shit! Increase your stress and shed that weight!

EHHH!!! SOUNDS UNPLEASANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I remember loosing a toe nail once or twice. The last time I was running into the ocean and it poped up like an airbreak, and ripped the skin holding it to my foot. No nail and salt water is not a good combination.

ok its sunday so its time now for my weekly check in. No change from last week's weigh in at 217 so i guess the good thing is that i haven't added any back on with my toe being cut up and me out of the gym for a few days now. but i'm on vacation this week so i'm gonna get back at and go hard. my goal is to be down at least 5 to 7 lbs by next sunday. the good news is that my toe is healed enough that i can start using it alot again so the gym is free rein for me again. so going into a new week and new aspirations and a healed foot, wish me luck my friends! and to all of you who too are trying to get yo health on, good luck as well.

Oh, check in time again? Not much change from previously - still battling portion control, the sweets cut-back is getting better though now that the sweets are gone. If it's around I eat, but I never buy as a general rule, so I should be fine now so long as my comrade doesn't bring anything into the house...

my portion control is under control almost to a scary level and i've cut down on sweets to next to nothing and snacks are totally out of the picture. however, my manager's wife just gave me a coconut pineapple pie, quite delicious and if served in tiny slices like 16 to a pie it's not bad. but with little self control an entire pie could be eaten in one day. same goes for my peanut butter pie. i haven't made one in about a month or more but i have the ingredients with is just as bad. it sits there saying make me, MAKE MEE!!!!!!! BUT ALAS, I MUST BE STRONG AND RESIST THE FOUL TEMPTATION TO RUIN MY TWO HOUR WORKOUT I JUST FINISHED!

You could preslice it as a counter-measure, making it easier to watch the portions... same with your other pie if you succumb to its call.... then you could put a slice in an envelope and send it to me! ;D

ok so it's check in time again. well i'm down to 215 so i didn't meet my goal but i've noticed something. i'm not showing alot of weight loss but my pants have become looser and my shirts that were a little loose in the chest and tighter around my stomach have switched. they're now tight around my chest and looser around my belly. so i've determined that my fat loss is happening and it's starting to be replaced by muscle. YAY!! so that's my check in for the week. i can honestly say now that i'm on my way to meeting my goal for next year.

Umm... no change this week. Probably due to the week being pure chaos since my hours were all over the place to accomodate things I had to do and a trip to Savannah to pack. I blew the sweets thing up though when I bought pudding after everyone that was supposed to come help pack bailed on me so I had to do everything MYSELF ALONE. Pudding made me feel a little better. From what I remember I ate relatively healthy last week (but not this weekedn since I could go out and all my cooking stuff was packed... had ham sammiches mostly, and one frozen pizza.. tried cooking fish but it wasn't so good since so much is packed) at least the pudding servings were tiny... but I was eating two at a time. Either way, a sucky weekend gone, onto a new week and a bottle of ibuprofen to help get into it (I feel like one big bruise today... )
