It has been my observation that preference in superhero derives from the ablility to relate from within oneself, i for one always found Batman's standalone value beyond most for his endless sacrifice and selflessness. all stemming back to a single incident, i find this to be most relative, relatively speaking.

Marvel always had a certain amount of corn and cheeze, so I guess it's good for snacking. Dc is far better for meat though.

so marvel would be like the chinesse food of comics, pretty good for a little while but the effects wear off quickly. and dc would be like the steak and taters cuz it last longer and really sticks to the ribs. hmm, now that i think of it dc's covers were kinda tougher and chewy where marvel was more of the sweet and crunchy variety.

Readying all this I began to think, I never really read comics that much, I have never owned more then 10 issues of any comic. I think the most issues I own is for asterix. I never really liked the writing in either DC or Marvel, but then maybe they lost their zest after being translated to Hungarian. I gotta say that writing wise I think Warren Ellis does the best work. About eating comic books I owned an Asterix cookbook once, I was yummy.

I have a lot of Batman comics- which my older brother has claimed custody of, but the older Batman comic are awesome!! Another great comic book series was Sandman- It's not your typical type of comic books. I have to disagree with everyone- Marvel kicks DC's Arse.
