I'm excited about going again! I don't know who I'd go as just yet though; I'd still like to try Iria sometime though. Just for the record, I'd like to state that I finally got a grip on the sewing machine and sewed something. yay me! That's why I am undecided - should I build armor next year or develop some mad sweet sewing skills?
i'm glad you finally got to experiment with the machine of death i mean your wonderfull new sewing machine. what did you make? how did it turn out? i'm about to start making some costumes to sell on ebay to try and make some extra scratch to pay these damned bills off and keep the nuggets in school. oh and by the way everyone, dominic and xander as of this past saturday are now three years old. i would also like to present to the board that we upgrade aiden from a nugget to a strip as he is 4.5 years old and half as big as me. so members of the board, honorable chairperson, i would like to change the standings to two nuggets and a strip. thank you for you attention to this matter.

Congrats on your Happy Meal, Sessho! I have a card I sent down, it's all late and everything but I bought it on time... work came knocking though, so I didn't get to see the mail box for a little bit.
What I made on the sewing machine... umm.. I hemmed a pair of pants. It counts right? I'll be making some pillows for Jager though, whenever he sends up some fabric he likes.

thanks alot triscuit for the card, i'll be looking for it. and yes hemming does count. most of what i do on my machine is hemming tina's dad's pants and small things like that. i'm being commisioned to make some curtains for a co-worker much like your pillows for Jager. i've acually been talking with Jager a little on cosplay.com as well as here. the word of the febreeze ninja is spreading! OH AND DID EVERYBODY NOTICE? I'M FINALLY A REGULAR JOE!!!

Congrats Sessho on your achievement! I also hemmed a second pair of pants (somewhat badly ) And started on a skirt that had a hem falling out... then something happened to the machine! The needle won't descend any longer now that I was getting the hang of using the machine! What do I do, Lord Sesshomaru? Do we need the Tetsaiga to repair it? Should I call Darth Panties to rub oil on it? HA! Well, actually, yeah... what DO I do?

i'm not exactly sure on just that info alone. what happened when it stopped? did it stop in the middle of a stich? have you taken all the thread off of it from the thread holder on the top and taken out the bobbin? sometimes when mine does that i have to take off all the thread and the assembly that holds the bobbin in place and check the compartment for stray or loose thread. if that is what happened then when you reload everything turn your tensioner all the way over to 1 and move your manual turn a few times. if it is moving up and down now re-adjust your tensioner to 9 or 10 and use a small piece of scrap fabric folded over once as a test piece to make sure your machine is going smoothly and not bunching up. when the thread bunches up in the bobbin casing it will jam the machine and keep it from moving. try that and let me know!
now on a more serious note, how are you? is everything ok? we're a little worried about you so we need to know if your ok. we love you so we just worry.

Unfortunatly One of the two cons in Orlando happened last weekend, but the other one Anime Festival Orlando will be happening Jul 28-30, this one seems interesting espcecialy some of the guests. Rooms are not a problem u all can stay here for free. Here is their link: www.animefestivalorlando.com I think I'd like to go to AFO7, though I had have to recycle a costume; given my current state I couldn't get anything together even though I have the time at the moment.... Paying only for food, gas, and registration - that's pretty affordable....

Sessho said something over at cosplay dot com about next year each of us helping eachother with skills that are our strong points (I had it copied and was going to paste it, but I forgot and copy and pasted something else ).... soo I was curious to know what everyone thinks everyone else's strong points are. I sorta started working on one of my costumes... I had a compulsion to get up in the middle of something and go to the thrift store where I found a night gown for a dollar that is the right colour for me to use as the pants Flying Snow from Hero wears as she defends the calligraphy school from the emporer's army. (Oh yeah, btw, I want to make Flying Snow's costume from on top of the calligraphy school. I forgot to mention that. ) You can't see them that much because there are so many layers to the costume, but I'd like to get it as closely accurate as I can. I think this fabric will be good because since she fights in this costume, I want to stick to light easily moving fabrics. It seems the materials used in the film on this costume was light cotton, but the pants, I can't tell. This material I bought is very light, some kind of polyester blend maybe that is typical to older ladies' night gowns. I think it will work well. No luck on other useful supplies this trip, but I got some ideas for the logistics behind the King of All Cosmos' big head. Goal for AZ07: The King + Flying Snow. Maybe a third if I get this other job that will give me ample free time. Plan for AF07 if I get to go: Armitage, most likely like last year unless I can find a jacket to work on now that I have a sewing machine. I may try to go to the November con in FL, but I have no idea if I will be able to go nor who I would be if I went at this point. I have AF07 deatils that I'll post separately.

I am at a loss for another costume- all creativity is tapped out for a while. Haku will proably be recycled via Halloween. Maybe the King of all Cosmos needs a Prince with a Bill duct taped ball? The Febreeze Ninja rocked- it was a really good idea. With another con maybe starting in Greensboro we may go to that one too if they get it off the ground anytime soon- rumor is that they are in negiations with the Koury Convention center at four seasons mall. Should be pretty cool if it works out.
