Well, I figured it was about time I created a soapbox of my own, seeing as I've been here for a while now. So as Uncle Jager knows his brews and other such consumables well, and the Spook has her knowledge of various wines I decided that it was high time I shared yet another facet of my thus far short existence.
TOBACCO
I've been arround tobacco all of my life and even though at one point in my life I was among those who detest use of tobacco prducts that didn't stop the free range free will of a young teenager from trying this and that, tobacco wise. I never really smoked anything regularly up until a couple of years ago when I was at the time working at a fabrication shop for a construction company. The other workers in the shop all smoked during the day and i figured at the time that considering the labor load of the job any luxury to have while working was nice and it was at that point that I started habitually smoking, product of choice at the time was Camel Turkish Gold. Since then however I have refined the quality of my tobacco consumptions. I posess strong will which helps to regulate my quantity as well, which in the long run enhances my smoking experience for it is not something I am in any way compelled to do simply something I enjoy. Don't get me wrong, I still have a few daily rituals involving some kind of tobacco, for instance when I awake in the mornings. Now that you know a little of smokey history I'll move on to the nex order of business.
Presently speaking I consider myslef to be somewhat of a tobacco connisuer (or however you spell it) as I frequently enjoy fairly decent cigars, various pipe tobacco, as well as various varieties of cigarettes. My favorite method of consuming tobacco is definitely via pipe. Pipe tobacco I find to be infinitely more flavorful aromatic and smooth than any cigar or cigarette I've yet to come accross. Pipe tobacco name of choice has to be those brought to me by John Middleton Inc. most noteworthy of said brand thus far is Middleton's cherry pipe tobacco. I've tried Prince Albert when I first had my pipe but wasn't too enthralled by it, though I'm always willing to give most things a try. When I feel like a nice inexpensive cigar I generally reach for Backwoods Black and Milds or Middleton's Black and Milds. I used to smoke cigars more often but when the pipe came my way it more or less reduced the frequency of cigar use as the pipe was everything I really ever wanted from a cigar but never acheived. I also partake of different flavors and varieties of cigarettes namely the selection offered by Camel. My first cigarette was a Camel, a Camel Wide to be exact, and even though my preferences in tobacco have changed drastically since, the brand too has grown and I rarely have difficulty finding a variety of cigaretted to suit my current impulse of the moment.
Speaking of Camel's and it's different varieties, today I decided to dfollow one of my impulses and try Camel Dark Mint. At first I thought they'd be some kind of mentholated cigarettes, which is something I do not like, but then I recalled that I had not yet been let down by the Camel. Much to my suprise I found them to be most smooth and the mint flavor was far from overpowering, just the right hint of mint and fairly light overall. I would reccomentd this cigarette to any smoker looking for a change of step. One of the most enjoyabloe cigarettes I've had in a while.
Also on my visit to the tobacconist's today I chose to venture further into the realm of pipe tobacco and snagged a bag of Middleton's Carter Creek. I'ts been a while since I ran across new pipe tobacco that I could see myself buying more of. I was pleased with both the taste and aroma and found it to be rather smooth as well. Middleton's comes through yet again. It certainly has a seat amongst my prefered tobaccos.
