I was going to use a smilie face but there is not one for total confusion. You don't like teh tr0n??!? Lots of people think Gollum was a very realistic and believable CG character, but the Bit from Tron puts Gollum to shame! ;D

A-movie stank: Troy! We all know it sucks, but this stink's beyond stank - it stunk! Was this a serious attempt at a film? I have a really hard time taking it seriously as such.......

A movie I can't recommend highly enough: Boondock Saints. Go see it if you know what's good for you! Just watched it the other day and was impressed by the plot, interesting camera work, and the humor. It should have had a bigger reception than it did.

And shepards we shall be! For thee my lord for thee!
Got it on Dvd the first instance I found it. Boondock Saint's is second only to ONE movie. A movie that changed the way I thunk of stuff. That movie is suprisingly about surfing? Wha? YES! SURFING! The title is "In God's Hands" following 3 people who live their lives on the road and follow the surf to where ever its good. Now this movie isn't about surfing as a sport, its a spiritual journey beyond anything with an ending that just blows you away. It's a VERY hard movie to find, I had to specially order it off a dvd site that now I can't remember. However it is well worth the money. Honorable Mentions to The Last Samurai for portraying an image of my favorite aspects of Japan. Captains Courageous for ONE HELL OF A MOVIE for being made in 1937. The Star Wars Anthology for one hell of a story from start to finish. Lord of the Rings for actually portraying a VERY good rendition of the books. Trying to stay away from Anime but I gotta give props to Mayazaki (probably misspelled his name). The First Matrix for being mind blowing, Gladiator for telling a great story. I should probably stop there cause I got loads more that I just don't feel like going through. I'm a pretty big movie buff when it comes down to it, I love ALL kinds of movies just so long as there not sappy, cheesy, or over produced. There are only so many ways you can tell the fairy tale of Cinda-friggin-rella. Now what I'd really like to see is Japanese tales where the sh*t hits the perpatuel rated R fan. Like the tale of the Rock Monkey Goku (not dragonball....) however it seems like anything with a japanese twist automatically has to have wire combat involved cause crouching tiger hidden butthole made so much money. *sighs* I should be a movie critic, life would be so much easier. MOVE OVER SICKLE AND SHERBERT! The Fox is coming!

Uh, Crouching Tiger and other movies of the ilk are Chinese, not Japanese. It is a specific type of film called Wu Xia. If you haven't seen Hero, you should. It is a phenomenal movie and nothing at all like Crouching Tiger, other than being from the same genre.

I saw Kill Bill vol2 last night, without saying anything about the plot for those of us who have not seen the film(s) I was quite bored by it. It seemed like Tarantino crammed all the cool ideas and scenes in the first film and the second one was just made to finish off the story. I almost fell asleep several times, while watching it. Although I have to admit that i didn't see the last 20 minutes or so cause the dvd kept freezing up, so it might redeem itself once I see that part. But unless it does something totaly amazing Vol. 1 is definatly the better of the two films. The entire time I was watching vol. 2 I was waiting for something cool to happen like the anime stuff in vol1 or the Crazy 88's battle but it just kept trudging along with some lame ass fight scenes for some variety. ;(

I have one to warn everyone to stay away from- White Noise. I thought this was going to be great- I was really interested in EVP. What a rip- it was not good at all. Sorry to say- if you want a boring movie- this one would be it.

I saw Taking Lives last night ...........zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz................zzzzzzzzzzzzz... sorry i feel asleep thinking about it. The flick started out ok, with the wierd kid and all that. But the title sequence trying very hard to be Seven, was an ominous warning of what was to come. Snooze rip off snooze rip off. I have never seen a suspence film with so many wooden characters in my life. It was trying to be suspence full but never really got there. The only thing that raised any interest (sorry for the pun) was the sex scene. There was the only shred of anything called acting. I guess Angolina Jolie has had practice faking it.

I saw Kill Bill vol2 last night, without saying. . . . ;( I completely and wholy agree. I never thought i would see t3h day that tarantino would turn to cheap suspense to move another movie of the same story, i mean i'm not sure about anyone else but that's what i see, what other theatrical point did it serve? Suspense, that way the next one didn't have to be good, people would just watch it because of it's predecessor. Not saying i'm sorry i did, i mean i wanted to see what happened and all . . . . . .

I like vol 2 more than vol 1. Its going for more of the spaghetti western feel than anything else. (which i'm a sucker for). More standoff than blood spurt.
