For you bewilderbeeste-
Chocolate Cheese Fudge
Recipe courtesy Paula Deen
Prep Time: 15 min Inactive Prep Time: -- Cook Time: 10 min
Level: Easy
Serves: 6 to 8 servings
Ingredients
* 1/2 pound Velveeta cheese, sliced * 1 cup butter * 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract * 1 cup chopped nuts, pecans, walnuts * 2 (16-ounce) boxes confectioners' sugar * 1/2 cup cocoa powder
Directions
Spray lightly the bottom of a 9 by 2-inch square pan with a nonstick spray.
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the cheese and butter together, stirring constantly until smooth. Remove from heat and add the vanilla and nuts.
In a large bowl sift together the sugar and cocoa. Pour the cheese mixture into the sugar and cocoa mixture and stir until completely mixed. The candy will be very stiff.
Using your hands, remove candy from bowl and press evenly and firmly into pan. Because of the amount of butter in this recipe, pat the top of the candy with a paper towel to remove the excess oil. Place pan in refrigerator until candy is firm.
To serve candy, cut into squares.

In the terms of stuff I have actually made- This is good for those with the insane sweet tooth.
Oreo Balls
2 hours | 2 hours prep
25 -35 Walnut size candies
* 1 package regular size Oreo cookies, crushed * 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened * 1 package white almond bark * 1 package chocolate almond bark
1. Using a blender or hand held mixer, mix Oreos and cream cheese together. 2. Roll into walnut size balls. 3. Chill for an hour. 4. Melt approximately 3/4 package of white almond bark. 5. Stick a toothpick in an Oreo ball and dip it in the melted white almond bark. 6. Allow to harden on wax paper. 7. Takes about 15 min. 8. While waiting, melt about 1/4 package of chocolate almond bark. 9. When Oreo balls are no longer sticky to the touch, decorate with drizzles of chocolate and white almond bark. 10. I just use a sandwich bag with a tiny hole cut in one corner to drizzle the almond bark.

For you bewilderbeeste- Chocolate Cheese Fudge Recipe courtesy Paula Deen Paula Deen needs to burn in hell somewhere. After living in Savannah, I want to punch her in the face whenever I see it.

I have done Marshmallow fondant! (See pic above!) The stuff cuts well and is pretty awesome to work with- I am just not creative enough to use it to it's potential. Marshmallow fondant tastes better and is easier to use than the wilton stuff. It can be a bit of a stick mess making it but that is part of the fun I suppose. Here is the tutorial website I used with the recipe on it. whatscookingamerica.net/PegW/Fondant.htm Good stuff- Now I challenge you make those tentacles! I am dying to make something like this for Aiden because he loves the Monkey jumping on the bed thing, but I fear I need more practice.

Actually I wouldn't be surprised if Paula Deen wasn't the poster Child for Heart Disease and it is Nasty to watch her cook- I saw a youtube of her cooking on the Ellen show- and I had shudders down my spine when she just decided she needed to stick her hands in the stuff she was making AFTER she licked her fingers. Bad Hygiene..... Is germs supposed to make things Taste better? sorry for board hogging - just had to get that out! lol

I've heard that the wilton products are pig-nasty. The various recipes I've found for fondant (inc marshmallow fondant) seem pretty easy and helluva lot cheaper as well as probably tastier.

The wilton decorating tools and icing colors proably aren't bad, but the Icing and fondant would be something to stay away from. Marshmallow fondant is easy to make - there is just a LOT of Kneeding involved. but good stuff to work with overall.
