I can't say too much about game consoles- we are usually behind- needless to say untill the Xbox ( which is AWESOME) came a few weeks ago- we has a SNES and the orginal playstation. But when I was a wee one- we used to play the Commadore 64 and the atari - Dark Chambers was the my favorite after Big birds egg Catch ( I told you I was a wee One). Spook- I am addicted to the tetris attacks too- unfortunately the person I never beat was my mom- that is her favorite game and she is unmerciful on her challangers. I am still a big fan of the final fantasy games and mortal kombat. Now we have the X-box- it seems we have like battling it out in Halo ( we're not quite brave enough for Halo2 yet).

I'm usually not on the up and up - the most current I have is the PS2 and that came along this summer. This is the closest I've ever been to being caught up with everyone else. Since there seems to be differing opinions, I want to know from everyone: What's your preference - the Box or the Cube? Why? If neither, what IS your preferred console and why? I have no opinion since I've played neither, and am not swayed towards one or the other except for the fact that Oddworld:Stranger is on the Box. But when I was a wee one- we used to play the Commadore 64 and the atari - Ah, good old 64 - the first computer I remember. After that came the 128 and the Amiga, then the home-built PCs moved in. Does anyone else remember the Amiga? It was an awesome graphics machine for its time. Dark Chambers was the my favorite after Big birds egg Catch ( I told you I was a wee One). Spook- I am addicted to the tetris attacks too- unfortunately the person I never beat was my mom- that is her favorite game and she is unmerciful on her challangers. Maybe we should have a go at Puzzle Fighter sometime. ;D ;D

Ok, so I'm playing Sonic Adventure on DC. I'm going through as Tails, and the more I play, the more I have to gripe. As a friend, Sonic really sucks! Poor little Tails, always stuck with having to compete against his egotistical friend in every field, never getting the spotlight to himself or a field of his own. If you start lagging behind, he starts taunting you, and if you fall off or die, does he help? NO! He asks where you're going and keep on going, to steal the win for himself! And while you're trying to beat him, he steals everything on the path that you could possibly need. The game leads you to believe that you're working together as a team, but congrats! You're only second fiddle! Always patronizing, always talking about what HE wants, always domineering. Makes you wonder what Tails sees in Sonic, eh? Maybe he has a self esteem problem? I really do have better things to do. This is just my way of not doing them.

I think Gamecube is better, it seems to have more original games. The Xbox is just a watered-down PC. If all you care about is pretty colors, Xbox has the best graphics. If you care about good gameplay, you're all set with PS2. Oh, both the GC and Xbox have terrible controllers. PS2 definately has the best controller. Basically, if you have a PS2 already, the Gamecube is better because there is a better variety of games that you can't get on PS2. Xbox games can usually be had on PS2 or PC.

Xbox or Game Cube? Not sure- I haven't played with a game cube yet. The Xbox is pretty cool- I am with Atari on the controller thng- the controllers suck. I am a very bad gamer- so I like to keep my games simple, as much as I like it- I suck at Halo. Fighting games are good- but Josh gets good at them while I am at work- then I come home and he wails on me. Though I really really enjoyed Def Jam's Fight for New York, not so much for the fighting but for the intros. I am a role playing type of girl. Final fantasy rocks- I am partial to 7, but final fantasy 10 looks good too. maybe one day I will get a ps2- but by that time I am sure everyone will have moved on to the ps3 - lol.

Final Fantasy kicks all kinds of ass. I haven't played 10 yet, I keep saying I'm going to get it. I have absolutely NO interest in playing X-2. I'm still trying to figure out why everyone (except me) likes FF7 so much. Its good, but I think 8 & 9 easily surpass it.

I'll stick to Grand Theft 3 for my entertainment. The Final Fantasy series just seem fustrating waiting around for turns, and such.

What's your preference - the Box or the Cube? i definitely have to agree with atari that the level of suckage of the Xbox is generally worse than that which an army of leeches would posess. Controllers suck, game selection sucks, but then again what can you expect form microsoft. Nintendo has been there since the start of my video game existence, and i have yet to ever be disappointed, in terms of playability, selection of games, dependablity of console(yes despite the flashing blue/green/pink/grey/etc . . . screen of death of my 8-bit nes has been and still is most depndable considering it's age) and replay value. I feel that the cube is no different, I don't own one @daminute but i've played everyone elses enough to decide i like it beter than a box any day of the week. Brrrring on da Kart fer da maxiiiimum pwnage.

FF7 was very good, and one of my favourites until 9 came along. FF8, I disagree with you as a whole. Story wise, I'll acknowledge 8 is better than 7, but game engine wise, I thought it stank. I didn't care for the game play at all.

I'll stick to Grand Theft 3 for my entertainment. The Final Fantasy series just seem fustrating waiting around for turns, and such. Just the older ones. Now, turns rotate in the blink of an eye. I think you would dislike more going thru the story elements of an RPG, based on your commentary that I've heard.

Individuals such as this are why i no longer play FFXI If a coupla cosplayers were enough to turn you off of something, don't go to a convention. You'll see enough to turn you off of everything you ever liked, though the good cosplayers would prolly make your head spin. Speaking of cons - Sucosa, Jager, and me: Animazement 2005!!! yeah, baby!! (I'm a bit psyched)...

Snarf? /snarf/ 1. To grab, especially to grab a large document or file for the purpose of using it with or without the author's permission. See also BLT. 2. (Unix) To fetch a file or set of files across a network. See also blast. 3. To acquire, with little concern for legal forms or politesse (but not quite by stealing). "They were giving away samples, so I snarfed a bunch of them." 4. Synonym for slurp. "This program starts by snarfing the entire database into core." 5. (GEnie) To spray food or programming fluids due to laughing at the wrong moment. This sense appears to be widespread among mundane teenagers - ESR. 6. This term was mainstream in the late 1960s, meaning "to eat piggishly". It may still have this connotation in context. 7. A creature on the Thundercats, fond of eating, usually covertly . . . to which was i refering to? . . . mwuu haa haa haaaaaaa (mmmm BLT)
