So, how would you class Old Man's Child? I would classify them as black metal, because they do have a large amount of occult/Norse subject matter in their songs. And also looking at it from the technical side most people would say that black metal is death and speed/thrash metal combined with influences of classical/traditional music (violins, horns, synth). Basicaly here is the low down Old Man's Child=good stuff. If you remember that all will be ok. ;D

Which reminds me..which one of youse said that a "turntable" is ONLY connected to booty shakin dance shit music? I belive u were refering to me. However, I was clearing up what I thought was a confusion on the supposed music played on my porch. I quote: "I like to comment that the only operation of a turntable in my house would be to listen to classic records. I don't have any of that DJ Whiggle shit happening here..." And while I would like to own records, I live in a city where even a normal cd (being more available of the two) needs to be mail ordered. I would be hard pressed in time and money to go hunt down records. Plus I don't seem to listen to as much "older" (excuse the term) albums as you. And I dought that many of them were even made into records, or are available in the us. Plus I like the convinience of cd, I don't see how I would be able to listen to a record in my car (where I listen to most of my music). Finally, I do not think people who own turntables are idiots....the end.

I'm an idiot...AND..i own a turntable ;D.....And i have to travel and/or mail order what i like also...Just because i mention a lot of "older" music dosnt mean i dont also listen to current bands.. and yes a lot of the new stuff IS also on vinyl...i like vinyl because, besides the music,i appreciate the art and graphics that go with it...i feel that cds ruin the whole concept of what the artist is convaying...how would Da Vinci feel if the Louvre shrunk the Mona Lisa down to a postage stamp to save space..Considering that the bands you listen to definetly put time and consideration into the graphics of their albums- I,myself really like the album covers of metal bands- so to me cds are a HUGH gyp...I'm willing to go the extra mile-10 miles,40 miles whatever,to get something of quality instead of some shiny little trinket from a cracker jack box. But thats just me..everyone is entitled to do whatever..but it IRKS me to no end ..just the thought that some corporation is making a fortune offa those shitty little cds...ripping off people...pisses me off. And on top of it all they have the nerve to charge more for cds than vinyl...Ever get the feeling that you've been cheated? Anyway..dont mind me..i'm just a grouchy, stubborn, opinionated asshole who likes to rant and rave. ;D

Well, I guess I'm the only one around here who doesn't like metal all that much. I find Atari Teenage Riot interesting, but I haven't listened to much metal since I was about 15 or 16.
For anyone in Columbia, I have listened to Guyana Punchline, which I found fairly pretentious and boring.

Today and yesterday were brought to me by Rammstein and the letter E. Two days ago, it was Nightwish, and maybe the day before that.
