We are still searching for Josh's Wig. Any ideas where a good place to look for one in greensboro? I don't know the old stores any more... Hypnotica used to carry wigs.. I'd recommend the ghetto "beauty supply" stores. I recall platinum was a popular hootchie-mama colour, so you may have some luck there.

Greetings! I proud to announce I have done some work on my costume. I have painted my balls! they are half grey now. that is all I have done for now, I still need to buy some matterial and a boot. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make these balls less foam looking. I know of many smoothening matterials but I'm afraid that it will eat away at the foam.

. . . any suggestions on how to make these balls less foam looking. I know of many smoothening matterials but I'm afraid that it will eat away at the foam. Can't think of anything of the top of me head but ask arround and report back i shall. These are balls of styrofoam, correct? As for myself i've made some headway with ye not so olde red mage outfit. I got the stuff for the vest and cape last week and have made it as far as getting the patterns cut out, just haven't had a free hand to sew as of late. If i wait much longer i may just be tempted to use the cheater method and emloy liquid thread (fabric adhesive). I found some nice black satin for my capes lining and was able to match the red vest/cape fabric fairly well with the hat so i'm pleased as far as that front of the field is concerned.

Not much but a start. We are still in search for the Wig for Josh's costume. spook- how is armitage going?

Well, Sucosa... about the same as before. I've been so busy that I haven't had time to work on it, but I need to be more aggressive about making time, seeing as it's the 2nd week of May already I still need to finish those shorts, detail the other accessories, work on one of the VIAGRAs (planning, drawing, etc), AND work on Jager's costume (thank God he has something easy...) On the plus side, I went out and found almost everything else I needed for my costume (if anyone needs brass snaps, let me know - you can have 'em for 3.50!). I even found Armitage's earrings (hows that for detail! ;D ) The Only thing I am missing now are those shades. Jager had a good idea - the granny ones that old people wear over their glasses. I think I can get those at a drugstore. Then it's to the art supply shop for the VIAGRAs, maybe walmart again, and I'll be set. The shorts are the most labour intensve part to deal with yet, but luckily those are almost done. I added the goods to the costometer, but keep in mind that includes my overdraft charge. My rent check cleared before my deposit did. I counted it since it was from me buying supplies for the costume. The only things we are missing now (Jager and I) : a green wig, squared off 80s style shades, and something to make Mouse's ankle/wrist pieces out of. I decided to forgo the jacket because it's going to be heap-big hot that weekend, and it'll be much easier to see (and preserve) one of the VIAGRAs without it. Oh, and I need to work on the modesty issue. I have to get used to the idea of being significantly more underdressed than I am accustomed to. ;D I think if I keep the mindset that I'm walking around in a bit more than a bikini and shorts, I'm ok. Especially after see what little some people (thankfully, they were mostly ones that could get away with it) were walking around in last year. Costometer - $118 Timometer - 17 hrs

We're all going to see each other in almost exactly 2 WEEKS! Holy Bat Guano Bat Man!! It's definitely sneaking up on me like a locomotive, I don't know about anyone else.... I thought it would be useful if maybe we started a list of stuff to bring that people may need to help each other out..... For example... those that are staying at the Sheraton with us, should we save a buck and bring a microwave instead of eating out all the time? I think we should all definitely go out together to dinner one night as a group - that would be fun - but the other meals.... and having the microwave would reduce the need to leaving for lunch, etc...? And we need a big cooler for the booze! Jager and I have only a tiny cooler.... I'll start the list with useful stuff people are bringing... Sewing supplies (me and Sessho) microwave (me and Jager) Thai nuts (me, under duress by Beefy and others ) Glue gun (me) Umbrella (for the Cosplay line)

Also If people are interested, I'm could stop by Sam's Club, and get industrial quantities of chips, snacks etc. Remember I can't really bring anything frozen. I think we should go eat in costume one night....that would be hillarious, especialy if we go out far enought from the city. ;D I think that I shall have a fuzzy navel filed weekend, seems nice and cooling and also some nice cold beer.

I have a almost full bottle of Kahlua that I am willing to Bring for everyones drinking pleasure. The microwave is a good idea- will the hotel allow that? If they do- lean cusine's and microwave pizza's all around. I am really looking forward to convention- I guess I haven't noticed how fast it is coming up. I have Vaction the next week after animaizement and I have been busy scheduling all these drs appointments the week after ( just to get them done while I am off work). Lord Sesshomaru is still working on my costume- so we'll see how that goes.

Idunno if the hotel allows microwaves, but I'm not too worried about it. It's not like there's a big entrance on the side away from the front desk where you could walk in on an elephant if you want to or anything.. ;D Jager - how are you going to eat in your face-paint?
Sewing supplies (me and Sessho) microwave (me and Jager) Thai nuts (me, under duress by Beefy and others ) Glue gun (me) Umbrella (for the Cosplay line) Big cooler (Sessho) Kahlua (Sucosa) Random limited Other booze (me and Jager) Coffee filters and real coffee (me)

xcuse me for the subject change, but does anyone going to the convention own the Neon genesis series. All we have is Episode 1-6 and Death&Rebirth. If some one could please make me a copy I would repay them for their dvds/vhs or and make a copy of anything I have that they would like. Subtitles is fine

in the words of the great Ric Flair, "WHOOOOOOOO". I have completed Sesshomaru minus his armor. i think the armor will be fairly simple or at least much less complicated than laying the graphix on the belt and kimono. This means that Alice is about to comence in about a day. I'M GONNA MAKE THE DEADLINE!!!!! YAY FOR ME!!!! oh and by the by, i have found the name and number of a good bailbondsman, (thanks painintheass). Darryl's Bail Bonding (336)275-2748 or 1-888-378-5327. HA!

Well- I have nothing new to report other than we ordered Sesshomaru's Wig from a supplier on ebay. Hopefully It arrives in time. While Sesshomaru is making my costume- we have alot of loose ends to tie up here before we can head out - you know the usual- scouring the house of unmentionables and shining the place up before the parental(grandparental) units are here tyke and dog sitting for us, paying the rest of the bills for the month, and keeping up with the rest of the junk sesshomaru dear is planning before we head out of here for that weekend. I am still missing the boots I needed for my costume- but I think I am going to check out the army/navy store for those. We are leaving out of Greensboro for Durham on friday night when I get out of work- all attempts to negiate leaving early has failed- I am not understanding why as the phone lines will probley be very very slow. I guess with me at work- leaves poor sesshomaru to pack the truck. It seems this is sneaking up on us faster than expected................................
