I was just watching a show on the History Channel about Pizza in the US and apperantly UNO was the innovator of the Chicago Deep dish. I when there when I moved here with some co-workers. I found the dough way too buttery, it tasted like a pie crust. Seems like the innovator should have better pizza. I keep telling you, Chicago doesn't know how to make a pizza! NY style's the only way to go. Chicago style is a greasy doughy mess, and California style is foo-foo.

To each his own, I like a little body to my crust, just like I preffer a some heft to my bread.

We have 3 basic choices here in the south- Deep Dish, Orginal or thin crust. Guess it is just a southern thing. Pizza is Aiden's favorite food so I just usually go with what he likes to eat- and Dream gets to the crusts.

Well more simply thin crust is NY-style while Deep dish is Chicago. I am not sure what 'orignal' qualifies as. Deep dish came around because of a Texan who wanted a more hefty pizza, real Chicago style is more like a topless pie and doesn't really the thick edge. I like fresh thick edge, I guess its my tendency for liking substancial bread.

Being the oldest of 7 kids and having a for all functional purposes a single working mother I can cook just about anything. It was my responsibility to cook dinner for my younger siblings by the time I was 10. So I cooked more as a job then as just something I felt like doing, but then it grows on you. My favorite has to be meatloaf and pizza casserole. Or hot wings. Or just some burgers on the grill. Oh yea gotta have some pulled pork, no way I could be a jew or muslim I'd be going right to hell on a daily basis I could kiss my 70 something virgins good bye. Really I just love to eat and I love to cook. I love just about anything with beans and meat in it. Gotta have some cornbread. I could go on forever. My favorite foods would be cajun, southern and soul food, thats real food. Never had an apetite for the danty refined foods.
As far as ramen noodles go, gotta be pork. Its just the best flavor, nothing special just good.

Just out of interest what do you consider danty refined foods? I have to go with the good spicy ramen, if we are talking about the stuff that comes in the styrafoam cup. The spice gives it substance and covers up the total lack of value the stuff has otherwise. There was some of that stuff I found in London called the Bombay Bomber, it started out as what was hot ramen here and you also got a large packadge of hot sauce with it. Made you wish you were never born. Nothing else kept you warm on nights you thought your balls were gonna freeze off.

like escargo and caviar that sort of thing. The things that people like strictly because of how much it costs with no concern for taste. But I guess one can acquire a taste for anything...for instance I like to drink tequilla it tastes good now but there was a time I thought it was the most disgusting taste imaginable.

I guess what I really have a problem with is what I percieve as superficial. Which includes most of the known population of the world, at least in my estimate. People that do things to cultivate a certain appearance they desire instead of being who they are. This is not intentionally directed at anyone here.
