I've got to fucking rant about something. I just found out that in my state, South Crapolina, it is illegal to sell beer over 6% ABV. WHAT THE HOLY FUCK!!?? I can go into a liquor store and buy fucking Everclear but I can't buy Double Bock? I don't get it. People drinking higher quality beer aren't the drunkards out on the flippin road. I'd be more worried about the frat boys drinking an entire case of Coors Light Ice Filtered Low Carb with a fucking lime in it. Christ on a stick, can this state have any more retarded laws?

Thru trial and error over the last 10 years i've had about 320 different micro brews and imports.I keep a list..theres some good beer out there..ya just gotta know where to look..www.victorybeer.com and www.northcoastbrewing.com are just 2 examples of beers i wanted but couldnt find locally..untill i started looking up the distributers who carried these beers and where they sold them..guess your gonna have to go to georgia or N.C. to get any of the higher octane brews..but its WELL worth it...i looked up one in georgia..Thunderhead dist.(770)263-7959..maybe they can help you find some merchants with the good stuff..ie..ABOVE 6%...hell my favorite 2 beers are 9.1 and 11.0 from pennsylvania....

Hey Atari..about the beer...Theres a distributor that carries North Coast Brewing in SC..see if you can get Red Seal Ale and Old # 38.. both fall below SC's facist 6% rule..I've drank both these beers for many years and they STILL are at the top of my fav list..Good Luck !!!

Had another brew that I liked - from Flying Dog Brewery, the In Heat Wheat Ale Hefeweizen. It tastes sweet and wheaty, it reminded me of soda a bit. It was a pretty good brew to beat the summer heat.

The only downside of wheat beers is the LOW alcohol content... ;D..seriously tho colorado beers have been pretty consistant in the mid-range real beer catagory...they definetly PALE when it comes down to BEER that kicks ass ..must be the thinning of the oxygen in the atmosphere.....

Okie doo, I've been asked to start a beer review, since someone thinks that I drink a lot of interesting brews. My reviews will be done mostly on the basis of taste not all about alcohol content. And don't worry I wont write about that low carb. light crap.
First order or business...
Maudite "ale on Lees" 8% Made in Canada
I found that the best part of this beer was the fact that it comes in a large thick bottle with a real cork. According to the back tag it is done so because the beer is allowed to ferment in the bottle. Whille it didn't taste bad, I found that its flavor was pretty nondescript. It is a good hardy ale with a crisper taste then the average ale.
3 out 5 ;D

Maudite.."The Damned One"..very nice.Have you tried the other Unibroue beers? La Fin du Monde"The end of the world"...Trois pistoles..Eau Benite..All of these beers are bottle conditioned,re-fermented in the bottle ala Trappist Belgian ales..The latest beer from this brewer i had was Ephemere..a golden wheat ale with apple..All are very good representations of classic Belgian style triple fermented ales...

Bulldada!!! Some of us are trying to find more info about the recent news that the crematorium guy in Georgia is *finally* going to trial. All the charges against him amount to something like thousands of years of prison sentence!!
Sooo.. sorry I ruined your pissyfit, brickbat.

I think he will be used as a cryogenics experiment to make sure he really does serve the full sentence. His freezer container will be fashioned in such a way that his frozen body will be swimming in a brew of stem cells and water from the fountain of youth and then he will be woke up periodically just so someone can tell him what date it is just to refresh his memory before turning on the chill again. Sweet dreams?

Can anyone recommend any good milk/sweet stouts? I've been drinking Sam Adams Cream Stout non-stop, but I'm sure there's something better out there. I'll probably try some Rogue ales(Mocha Porter and something else I saw). And good Hefeweizens too.
